Ealing Case Study
Routine cyclical pruning of London Plane street trees, April 2015
Red Squirrel Tree Surgery Ltd were commissioned to carry out the routine cyclical pruning of over 200 London Plane street trees in Ealing Borough. Working in the high profile area of Ealing Broadway Ward, a congested urban environment, is challenging work as pedestrians and parking vehicles have to be taken into account. Before work started each tree was individually examined and the necessary precautions were taken i.e. passing pedestrians and moving traffic. Traffic management was erected on the roads beneath each tree to direct the flow of traffic safely. Banksmen and pedestrian signs were used to ensure the public’s safety. Red Squirrel completed all commissioned work before deadline, to a high standard and without complications.
“During the spring of 2015 Red Squirrel Tree Surgery carried out the routine cyclical pruning of London Plane trees within the prominent and very busy Ealing Broadway Ward. All of the works were completed to high standard and during multiple, unannounced site inspections I found the crews to be most polite and very professional.
I could not fault their organisational arrangements, health and safety or communication, it was a pleasure working with them and I would have no hesitation in using this company again.”
